Winter Travel ~ Ayutthaya, Thailand

Ayutthaya, also known as Ayutthaya, is about 80 kilometers from Bangkok and the drive takes about 1.5 hours. It is known as the "Little Angkor Wat" and the buildings retain their ancient atmosphere. There are many stray dogs in the temple. One of them sits in front of the statue with its head held high, like a silently guarding beast. The temple retains the ruins of the war hundreds of years ago. Many Buddha statues were destroyed in the war and many Buddha heads were looted. While walking around, I saw a pigeon flying to the shoulder of a Buddha statue to rest, and I sighed at the preciousness of peace. We also visited the most famous tree-embracing Buddha head. It is said that the Buddha head that was damaged in a war rolled under the tree, and the tree grew and wrapped the Buddha head into the tree. Finally, we went to see the huge reclining Buddha. There was a small shop opposite the reclining Buddha. The beautiful lady boss could speak English, Japanese, Vietnamese and Chinese. I was amazed.
