Ayutthaya Elephant Palace and Peniad Ayutthaya Elephant Palace is the only elephant camp built on the World Heritage Site, which is the former Krom Phra Khachbal in the heart of Ayutthaya Island. It offers tourists the opportunity to ride elephants to see ancient sites from the City Pillar Shrine to Bueng Phra Ram, as well as watch elephant shows and other activities such as crawling under elephants, taking photos and feeding them, as well as visiting the pen. The entrance fee to the Elephant Palace and Peniad is free, but there is a 50 baht elephant show fee for both Thais and foreigners. Alternatively, the fee for riding an elephant around Ayutthaya Island ranges from 100-500 baht, depending on the time of day.
