Wat Phra Phutthabat Ratcha Wora Maha Wihan An ancient temple of Saraburi Province and another important place of worship in Thailand is the "Roy Phra Phutthabat". This temple is a first-class royal temple, Ratcha Wora Maha Wihan type, under the Mahanikaya sect. The footprint of the Buddha, which is imprinted on a stone slab above the shoulder of Suwannabanphot Mountain, was discovered during the reign of King Songtham (the 21st king of Ayutthaya). King Songtham saw that it was a footprint according to the 108 characteristics, so he ordered a pavilion to be built to cover the footprint. The footprint of the Buddha is 21 inches wide, 5 feet long, and 11 inches deep. The pavilion is a square building with a seven-tiered castle-like spire, roofed with green glazed tiles. There are gable arches on every tier. There are twelve recessed columns covered with gold and decorated with glass all around. The outer walls are covered with gold and decorated with glass in the shape of a deity with hands together and a bunch of rice bundles. The way up to the pavilion is a three-tiered Naga staircase. The ordination hall and the surrounding temples are all built in the style of Ayutthaya and early Rattanakosin art. 📍Wat Phra Phutthabat Saraburi https://maps.app.goo.gl/XgdxYAwAHgMJsGed9 #Waiting for departure #Mr.Tourist #Waiting for departure
