Beautiful Sunset Viewing Spot at Nong Samo, Phu Pha Man

When visiting Phu Pha Man, one of the highly recommended tourist spots is "Nong Samo." We decided to check it out because it’s not far from Phu Pha Man and the accommodation we were staying at. We headed there around 4 PM, using Google Maps to navigate. Upon arriving at the pinned location, we were a bit confused—where was the beautiful pond everyone had been raving about? Several other tourist cars were also parked nearby, seemingly as puzzled as we were. The pin was placed on the side of the pond, but the scenic view wasn’t visible from there. Some people even drove off, thinking they’d come to the wrong place. While wandering around in confusion, a meatball vendor arrived. We decided to buy some snacks and chatted with the vendor. He kindly informed us that the picturesque spot was a little further ahead. He suggested we go there, enjoy the meatballs, and wait for the sunset to see the stunning reflection of the mountains on the water. After grabbing our meatballs, we drove a bit further and found the beautiful spot. There were seating areas, photo spots by the water, and during the evening, the wind calmed down, making the water still enough to perfectly reflect the mountains. We didn’t stay until nightfall because we planned to see bats afterward, which was also nearby. This spot is also worth visiting in the morning, especially during the rainy season when you can enjoy the beautiful mist.
