Somdet Phureum Ming Muang Temple

The entrance to the temple is magnificent. When you walk inside, you will find a wide temple terrace where you can see the beautiful view of the mountains and Phu Ruea. In the middle, there is a large wooden church standing out. There are beautiful carvings around the church, including the Naga stairs carved from green jade from the Mekong River. Not only the Naga stairs, the Buddha images enshrined in the various temples are almost all jade Buddha images. Each temple enshrines beautiful Buddha images. The ordination hall enshrines the Buddha Bhaisajyaguruvaiduryaprabha, the medical doctor or Phra Kring Powares, as the principal Buddha image. One of the Buddha images in the temple is a reclining Buddha carved from Mekong River jade from Burma. Come visit Phu Ruea and stop by to see the beauty of Wat Somdet Phu Ruea Ming Mueang.
