Wat Phra Thong or Wa

Wat Phra Thong or Wat Phra Phut is one of the Unseen temples in Phuket, located in Thalang District, Phuket Province. If you are visiting Phuket, after arriving at the airport before going into the city, I recommend that you stop by to pay homage first. The highlight of this temple is the Buddha statue that only half of its body is protruding from the ground. There is a legend that a boy tied a buffalo rope to a pole protruding from the ground, but it was actually the head of a Buddha. The boy did not know, so he died. The buffalo also died. When the boy's father found out the reason, he was going to dig up the Buddha statue to worship, but he could not dig further because there were wasps and the wasps attacked the people who were digging, so he did not dig further, leaving only half of the statue. #SouthernTeam
