Instagram-worthy Resort in Phuket

#wheretogo I recently stayed at Aurico Kata Resort & Spa for a full week as part of my Phuket leg in a 3-week Thailand trip. It was the perfect choice and is now one my favourites in Phuket (and I've stayed in many Phuket hotels!) Aurico is a 4-star resort situated about 10 mins' walk from the pristine Kata Beach. It's a massive resort with 2 swimming pools, one featuring a lazy river-style. Good news: ALL rooms are facing the beautiful pools and swim-up bar. It's a truly gorgeous view. I stayed in the Deluxe Over The Pool Room: - 40sqm, generous size - Private large balcony with stunning view - Separate bathtub and rain shower - Comfortable bed and large TV - Mini fridge, kettle, umbrella, bathrobes, safe - Room was immaculately clean, functional, and tastefully designed Breakfast was excellent. While it did feel repetitive over 7 days, the food was great. Loved the live egg and noodle stations, very enthusiastic chefs. The hotel was also "hidden" in its own compound away from the main street, so it did feel extremely secure at night. Look out for artworks around the hotel - not to be missed. Extremely photogenic resort with good prices, good food, excellent and helpful staff. One point for improvement: hire more housekeeping staff.
