#songkran2024 Beautiful once you get up those stairs! Like all temples here , you must take off your shoes to go up the separate steps to the Buddha and the tiles were quite hot so you have to hop around from shade to shade. Don’t miss going in the worship room underneath the Buddha through small doors , it’s so pretty and peaceful . I was literally the only person there yesterday afternoon. I’m travelling solo so I have ‘Grab app’ so I can get easily from place to place (on your phone similar to Uber) with cabs and mopeds which I take everywhere , the guys all come with spare helmet for you and zip you around … a 20 min journey usually costs about 130 bhat (less than £3) cabs are safe and cheap on this app too so I recommend that so you can get the most out of your day without long hot uphill walks .
