Wat Phra Nang Sang by Queen Leut Khao, Phuket Province

This temple was built around 1758 and was used as a camp to fight against the Burmese in 1785. Inside the chapel are three of the world's oldest and largest tin Buddha images, called "Phra Nai Phung" or "Phra Sam Kasat", which are enshrined in the belly of three large cast Buddha images. Wat Phra Nang Sang is a temple that is a symbol of Thalang and Phuket Province. It is highly revered by both Thais and foreigners, especially the Chinese. Wat Phra Nang Sang is connected to the legend of Nang Mahsuri or Nang Lueat Khao of Nakhon Si Thammarat. It is said that she stopped by Thalang, Phuket Island, built a temple there before returning to receive her execution because she was accused of having an affair with a royal page. However, after her execution, instead of her blood flowing out, it turned white, which was very surprising. This is where the name Nang Lueat Khao came from. 🤎Open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. How to get there: Take Thepkasattri Road. To the Thalang District intersection, located on the left 📍Ton Sai Waterfall Road, Thepkasattri, Thalang, Phuket #Phuket #Waiting for the day to depart #Beautiful photo spots ข
