Laem Krating, a viewpoint with golden grass along the Phuket sea

Laem Krating, Phuket Province, has recently become a popular viewpoint. For those who love unique views, you will definitely love it… Laem Krating is a hillside that juts out into the Andaman Sea on the west coast, just like Laem Phromthep, but it has a distinctive feature: grass fields that grow in rows along the hillside. When the rain stops, the grass fields will be a beautiful yellow and will turn orange when the evening sunlight reflects. For the first trip to Laem Krating, it is popular to walk along from Nai Harn Beach along the hillside until reaching the highlight called “Sail Rock”. This point will be quite crowded with tourists, especially on holidays. For my trip to Laem Krating, I will start from “Pha Hin Dam Viewpoint”, which is a walk down from the top of the hill. I think the route is less dangerous than the first one. We can park our car at the Pha Hin Dam parking lot and walk along the path and signs for about 1 kilometer. The walk down is very easy, but on the way back up, we will definitely be out of breath. However, it is popular with those who like to exercise. We did not go down to the highlight because there were quite a few tourists and the view from the top is very beautiful. You can almost see the whole view, including the island view that can be seen from Pha Hin Dam. You can see the windmill viewpoint and the Promthep Cape viewpoint (in the distance). I recommend going at 4:30 PM. When you get there, you will get the perfect light. While waiting for the sunset, boats will be sailing back and forth, which is a delight to the eyes. Until the sun sets, I must say that you won't be able to stop taking pictures.
