Zhejiang Pinghu Wuxi Temple Bridge

The Wuyanmiao Bridge spans Zhaojing Port from the north to the south. It has been recorded in the Ming Dynasty and was rebuilt in the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929). The three-hole stone arch bridge has a total length of 39 meters, a width of 3.1 meters, a central hole with a height of 5.2 meters, an arch span of 10.1 meters, a side hole with a height of 2.8 meters, and an arch span of 6 meters. The stone bridge adopts the technology of thin piers and continuous arches, and the arches are built vertically and in parallel sections. There are 37 stone steps in the north and south. There are stone railings and square plain pillars. The railing at the highest point of the stone bridge is designed as a backrest, which not only strengthens the bridge body but also facilitates pedestrians to sit. Iron components are riveted between the balustrade stones, the pillars and the ground rivets, and glutinous rice juice is poured between the components. In the middle of the stone bridge, there is a swirl pattern of thousand-jin stone relief. There are 4 pairs of bridge pillars. On the west side, "Sail eastward to Sanmaokou of Jalian Lian, and drive south to look at the top of Jiufeng in the distance." In the middle, "Southern hunting crossing, Jinggong Temple, is still called Wanxi, and the west area along Dayitang has been named forever. "Belongs to Zhaojing"; on the east side "Half Moon Yan Yan Zhaojing Wufang Gate, Changhong Ring Wanhe Three County Traffic", in the middle "Across the bank Gongxingxu south overlooks the sea, the sand leads to Han River in the north, and the clear moon shadow of Hengtang connects to Zepu in the east "Xiaochuan". The top of the stone on the east side is engraved with the inscription "The Great Stone Bridge of the Wucheng Temple was rebuilt in the spring of the 18th year of the Republic of China", and the stone on the west side is engraved with the inscription "The Big Stone Bridge on the Wuchian Temple". The lower end of the middle-hole coupon slab is engraved with the surname of the person who donated money to build the bridge and the amount of money donated. It is a key cultural relic protection unit in Zhejiang Province.
