Portland Japanese Garden

#timetotravel There's something I learned when we visited the Portland Japanese Garden. My uncle said it was an act of goodwill by the American government after World War 2. They didn't want Americans to fully hate the Japanese and instead have a cultural exchange by establishing Japanese gardens in USA. It was to learn from each other. I was amazed by the thought of it and I'd really like to see more places like this.
