Sao Bento Station

Porto's São Bento Train Station is one of the top ten most beautiful train stations in the world. The station's halls and walls are covered with hand-painted tiles in sky blue tones, painted by Jorge Colaço, the most important tile painter of the time, with a total of 20,000 tiles. The first batch of tile paintings were put up in August 1905 and the painting was not completed until 1916. São Bento Station is free and open to the public, and you can enter directly regardless of whether you have a ticket or not. In Europe, the famous express train is called Hercules, which is slightly slower but can reach a speed of 200 kilometers per hour.
