[Czech Republic] Quiet and community-oriented despite being in Prague [Vysehrad]

This time we will introduce Vyšehrad in Prague, Czech Republic🏰 It is said that the 7th century Queen Libuše lived in Vyšehrad Castle. Vyšehrad Castle no longer exists, but churches and cemeteries remain within the castle walls. Vyšehrad means "high castle". The first movement of Czech composer Smetana's symphonic poem "My Country", "Vyšehrad", refers to this castle. This church, which can be seen high up while walking around Prague, is the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul (Chrám sv. Petra a Pavla). (First photo) It was originally a Romanesque cathedral, but was rebuilt in the Gothic style. The inside of the church is very beautiful, with the walls and ceiling covered with paintings in various styles. There is a cemetery next to it. The eighth photo is Smetana's grave. There are also the graves of other great people such as Dvorak and Mucha. The oldest building remaining here is the Rotunda sv. martina, which is said to have been built around 1100. It is a little far from the center, but it is about 20 minutes by public transportation to the nearest place, or about 10 to 15 minutes on foot from the nearest place.
