OMG, who else gets this?! Heading west from Beijing, I arrived in Ulanqab, and Volcano No. 6 was seriously amazing! Today, I successfully hiked around Volcano No. 6, mission accomplished! The neighboring Volcano No. 5 bears a striking resemblance to Mount Fuji—absolutely stunning! Amidst the ice, snow, and howling wind, I not only embraced my loved ones but also encountered the unique romance of a winter volcano. Being able to check off this long-awaited destination with my beloved family and friends filled me with immense happiness and satisfaction! Here are some tips for you: If you're short on time and can only choose one spot, don't hesitate—head straight to Volcano No. 6. Upon arrival, turn left to reach the first photo spot in Picture 7, and then begin your journey around the mountain. Halfway through, you'll catch a glimpse of Volcano No. 5, which looks just like Mount Fuji (Picture 5). On your way back, you'll also encounter the super popular big heart photo spot (Picture 9). The scenic beauty along the way is a delightful surprise throughout the entire loop! We went from 1–3 pm, when the sun was out, making it relatively warmer and the lighting perfect for photos. However, the temperature still dropped to -15°C. Especially during the uphill climb, the wind was howling, and as soon as I took off my face mask, my nose started running uncontrollably. Make sure you dress warmly—masks, gloves, earmuffs, hats, scarves, and snow boots are essential. Layer up as much as possible! The entire walk isn't too tiring, just a bit windy. Along the way, we had snowball fights, wrote in the snow, and took tons of photos. We had a blast! The winter volcano has a unique charm and offers so much to do. I highly recommend it to everyone!
