Mao Zedong's Former Residence, Yiyan Di, is located in Tangku Natural Village, Lin She Village, Lin She Township, Qingliu County, Sanming City. Yiyan Di was built in 1878 and is a typical Wufenglou-style Hakka residence in western Fujian. It has two courtyards, three halls, and two wings, with 24 rooms in the main house and 20 rooms in the wings, covering an area of 1,386 square meters. Mao Zedong lived in the left wing of the main hall, while the right wing was for military leaders. The second courtyard housed the radio station and some leaders, while the guards lived on either side of the entrance hall. Lin She Village's Yiyan Di is the best-preserved former residence of Mao Zedong in Fujian Province. The residence displays many of Mao Zedong's poems. In recent years, Lin She has leveraged its red culture and elements to create a Red Army village, becoming a base for patriotism and revolutionary education for young people and the public.
