Jiaozuo | Qinyang Beida Temple

On a day trip to Qinyang, we first visited the famous Beida Temple. The mosque was originally built during the Yuan-to-Zheng period and rebuilt during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. It is now a national key cultural relic protection unit. Beida Temple consists of two parts, one for men and one for women. There are 25 existing wooden structures from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The wood is large and rough, and the temple is ancient and heavy. The roof is decorated with peacock blue, green, and yellow tricolor glazed tiles, and the sides are inlaid with kiss beasts. There are also some stone tablets from the Ming and Qing dynasties and the Republic of China, including the inscription of the renovation in the eighth year of the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. Free to visit, not far from the Zhu Zaiyu Memorial Hall, worth a visit if you pass by.
