Raksa Warin Hot Springs, Ranong Province

It is located away from Ranong Municipality along Highway No. 4005, east of the provincial hall. It is the only hot spring in Thailand that does not contain any sulfur and can be drunk from the source. Located in the area of ​​Raksa Warin Public Park, Chonla-U Road, Khao Niwet Subdistrict, it is a natural hot spring consisting of 3 wells: Father's Well, Mother's Well, and Daughter's Well. All three wells are close to each other and have an average temperature of approximately 65 degrees Celsius. Raksa Warin Hot Spring has been analyzed by the Department of Science Service and found to contain important minerals and is the only source in Thailand that does not contain any sulfur at all. It can be drunk from the source and is also considered pure water. Mineral water from here was once used in a Buddhist consecration ceremony to create holy water for use as holy water in the royal ceremony celebrating the 5th cycle birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, Rama IX. Currently, the province has built hot springs to provide services to the public. By connecting pipes to bring hot mineral water from the three main pools to the newly built hot spring pools and mixing with normal temperature water to reduce the temperature of the water to around 40-50 degrees Celsius. The footbath is open for free. In the Raksa Warin Public Park, one side is adjacent to Khlong Hat Som Paen, which is a natural stream flowing from the mountain. During the summer, the water in the stream is about knee high and there are rocks along the stream. Tourists like to come and sit and play in the water here. Raksa Warin Hot Spring is open every day from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
