Khao Ngu Stone Park, Ratchaburi

Khao Hin Ngu Park in Ratchaburi city is located in the limestone mountain area in Khao Ngu Public Park, Ko Plap Phla Subdistrict, Mueang District, Ratchaburi Province, approximately 8 kilometers from Ratchaburi Province. It used to be an important source of blasting and crushing rocks in Thailand since the early Rattanakosin period because it was good quality cement. Later, both the government and the public saw the deterioration of the landscape and the scenery. In addition, Khao Ngu is an ancient religious site, so the concession for this area was cancelled. Then Khao Ngu became an abandoned mine in a dilapidated state. Ratchaburi Province therefore developed Khao Ngu into a public park and an archaeological tourist attraction. A large stone Buddha statue was built covering the entire cliff area in the Khao Ngu Stone Park area. A popular tourist spot is the entrance to Khao Ngu Public Park, which has a large Buddha image in the blessing posture in front. At the end of the exit, there is another spot, a pavilion for sitting and relaxing. There is a long bridge along the river for walking and taking pictures.
