The Buddha image in the Rishi Cave of Khao Ngu

Located near Bangkok, the Buddha image in the Rishi Cave of Khao Ngu features two Dvaravati period statues. The first statue is seated with crossed legs, the right hand in the Dharmachakra mudra, and the left hand resting on the lap. An inscription between the feet reads 'Punyakarmashra Srisamadhikupta', meaning 'Srisamadhikupta is sanctified by his meritorious deeds'. On the other side of the cave wall, there is a standing Buddha image in the descent from the Tavatimsa Heaven posture. Additionally, there are several other meditative Buddha images. The art of the Khao Ngu area can be dated to the 13th-14th Buddhist centuries.
