Wat Klang Ming Muang, Roi Et Province

Wat Klang Ming Mueang, originally named Wat Klang, is located in the heart of Roi Et city on Charoen Phanit Road, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Roi Et Province. It is an old temple, presumably built before the establishment of Roi Et city. At that time, it was under the rule of the Khmer Empire. During the reign of Mr. Winyu Angkhanarak, the governor of Roi Et Province, he requested permission to upgrade the temple to the third-class royal temple, general category, since May 26, 1965. In the past, Wat Klang Ming Mueang was used as a place for the water pouring ceremony, Pipat Satya. At present, it is a place for studying Buddhist scriptures and a place for religious examinations called Sunthon Thammapariyatti School, under the Office of the National Buddhism. The Buddhist scriptures school, Dhamma and Pali section, opened in 1870, and the Buddhist scriptures school, general section, started teaching in 1971. Wat Klang Ming Mueang has architectural buildings inside the temple as follows: The chapel was built in the late Ayutthaya period, 12.50 meters wide and 20 meters long. The walls around the chapel are decorated with beautiful paintings depicting the life of the Buddha and are of artistic value. Inside the chapel, there is a sacred object, which is the principal Buddha image in the chapel called Phra Phuttha Ming Muang. In addition, there are other architectural buildings in the temple, such as the Sala Karn Parian, 15 meters wide and 27 meters long, a reinforced concrete building built in 1968, 9 monks' residences, 2 of which are half-brick, half-wood, and 7 of which are buildings, and a wihan, 6 meters wide and 35 meters long, built in 1983, a concrete building, etc. #NortheasternTeam #WorldHeritage #VisitHistoricalSite
