In 1966, the province set up a fundraising committee and invited Phra Khru Sirivutthimethi (Phutta Sirivuttho), the abbot of Wat Burapha Phiram, to be the sponsor. However, the money was not enough and more funds had to be collected until 1967, when the foundation stone laying ceremony for the shrine was held on December 21, 1967. The area where the shrine is located was a reinforced concrete Thai-style building with a total construction cost of 45,000 baht (forty-five thousand baht). Construction was completed in 1968. Roi Et people call it Chao Pho Mahesak and ask for blessings and protection, and they often call it together "Mahasak Lak Muang" to commemorate and pray for blessings and protection. On June 7, 1968, Mr. Plaek Santhirak came to read the characters on the stone tablet, which read "This character reads: Phra Mahaesakdanuphap" by writing the pronunciation and signing the date, month, and year. The people of Roi Et have called him Lord Mahaesakdanuphap ever since. In front of the shrine, there is a seat under the shade of a tree.
