St. Jacob's Church

St. Jacob's Church is an ancient church in the town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The two towers of different sizes are said to be the works of a master and his apprentice. The larger tower was built by the master, while the smaller one was built by the apprentice. There is an entrance fee to visit the interior, where you can see the main altar with stained glass windows reaching up to the top of the church and the beautifully decorated Gothic-style surroundings. Don't miss the Altar of the Twelve Apostles, the main altar built in 1446, with a beautifully carved wooden centerpiece.
