We made our way there in the late afternoon, timing our visit perfectly to enjoy the golden hour light before heading to Barelang Seafood Restaurant—an iconic eatery known for its expansive menu and popularity among locals and tourists alike. Stretching an impressive 642 meters, this cable-stayed bridge is the longest and most striking of the six bridges that form the Barelang chain, which links several islands including Batam, Tonton, and beyond. Its sleek, modern design—often compared to San Francisco’s famed Golden Gate Bridge—makes it a favorite photo spot, especially as the sun sets over the water.
