Experience the history of the Edo period in Sakata, Yamagata

At Honmatei (admission fee required), you can enter the home of a wealthy merchant who had more assets than samurai in the Edo period, and at the time it was said, "Even if I can't become a samurai, I want to be like Honma-sama." All of these places are within walking distance from Sakata Station, and there are many other places of interest such as Hiyoriyama Park.
