The renowned Stonehenge near London has always been on the must-visit list. However, it is a bit far and more suitable for a day tour. This trip, with more days in London, finally allowed for a visit to this mysterious and enigmatic site. Stonehenge is a famous prehistoric cultural temple site in Europe, located on the Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England. It consists of dozens of huge stones arranged in a large circle, some of which are up to six meters high, resembling some kind of religious ceremony or mysterious totem. But to this day, no one knows for sure what its original purpose was. The entrance fee to Stonehenge is €25, which includes an audio guide rental. Visitors can only view it from a distance, and it may not be as grand as imagined. Without the audio guide, it would be hard to understand its significance. Nearby Stonehenge, there is also a free site called Woodhenge, another prehistoric relic. However, only concrete posts marking the bases remain, and the wooden structures themselves are long gone, leaving much to the imagination.
