Overlooking the World Heritage Site, the spectacular Bohensalzburg Castle!

The historic center of Salzburg was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1996. The photo is from Hohensalzburg Fortress, a medieval fortress that stands on a cliff overlooking the city of Salzburg. It is also famous as a landmark of the city of Salzburg. It was once said to be an impregnable fortress, and inside the castle are exhibits of books that describe the situation at that time, as well as soldiers' swords and shields, and bombs. The dolls were so realistic that it was a little chilly. We ended the day by relaxing with a glass of wine at a restaurant at the entrance to Salzburg Castle before returning to the city.
