Climbing Schafberg in Austria

#Hiking Schafberg is a mountain in Salzburg, Austria. It is 1,783 m (5,850 ft) high. Located in the Salzkammergut mountain range of the Northern Limestone Alps, Schafberg rises on the shores of Lake Wolfgang. In the summer, you can take the Schafbergbahn, a rack railway that opened in 1893, from the small town of St. Wolfgang at the foot of Lake Wolfgang to the summit. When you reach the summit of the Salzkammergut, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Salzkammergut mountain range and Lake Wolfgang, and the area near the summit is also the site of the Schafbergspitze hotel, which was built in 1862. When you reach the summit, you can see three lakes: Lake Wolfgang, Lake Mond, and Lake Atter, the largest lake in Austria.
