Phanthai Norasing Shrine

Pan Tay Norasing tried to steer the royal barge carefully but could not avoid the accident. The prow of the royal barge hit a large tree branch and fell into the water. The prow of the barge hit a large tree branch on the bank of Khlong Khok Kham, causing the prow of the barge to break and fall into the water. Pan Tay Norasing knew that this offense was punishable by death according to ancient royal tradition, which stipulated that "If anyone steers the royal barge so that the prow of the royal barge breaks, that person will be punished by beheading." Therefore, he asked King Suea to execute him according to the Palace Law. King Suea reluctantly followed the royal decree, so he ordered the execution of Pan Tay Norasing. And a shrine was built as high as the eyes, and the head of Phanthai Norasing and the broken prow of the royal barge Ekkachai were placed on the shrine as a memorial to show loyalty and devotion.
