St. Francis Church

The Church of San Francesco, the former site of the Society of San Marino, is a Baroque church. The church has a white exterior wall, oval windows and a bell tower. There is a monument in front of the church to commemorate the local victory over the pirates in 1910. The Church of San Francesco is a Catholic Franciscan church in San Marino. It is located on the right side of the Porta San Francesco in San Marino, the capital of San Marino. This gate was originally the main entrance of the Church of San Francesco and has now been changed into the main entrance to the capital city of San Marino. The church has a display room housing artifacts and works of art dating from the 13th century. Among them are a reliquary from the 13th century, a ceremonial cross from the 14th and 15th centuries, a fresco of the Nativity with Saint Sebastian from the early 15th century, and the statues of Saint Marino and Pardo from the 15th century. Anthony of Valle, the holy curtains of the 17th and 18th centuries, the hats and relics of Bishops Marino and Madroni of San Marino, as well as their tombstones, are all treasures in the world. The Church of San Francesco was also the former site of the San Marino Society, which trained a number of well-known clergy. Now it has become a tourist attraction in San Marino, attracting tourists from all over the world.
