Urai Thong Cave, Satun Province, one of the tourist attractions in the Global Geopark. There is a legend that in the past, this area was a sea and a junk ship was anchored there. Inside the junk ship were valuable treasures, including a lot of gold, which were kept in Urai Cave, which comes from the Malay language and means “gold.” Inside Urai Thong Cave, there are 3 beautiful caves, and Urai Cave is the largest cave. It is a source of ancient human bones and animal bones, such as rhinoceros and zebras. There is also a small cave, Sampao Cave, which is a source of ancient shellfish, and Daughter Cave, a source of ancient animal bones, such as rhinoceros molars, wild boar molars, buffalo hooves, saltwater shellfish, snails, bitter snails, and mammals. Koh Khao Yai, Satun Province #TeamSouth Another tourist attraction on the Andaman coast and a must-visit place in Satun is a limestone island in the middle of the sea, located in the area of the Mu Ko Phetcha National Park, Pak Nam Subdistrict, Langu District, Satun Province, approximately 10 kilometers from the coast of the park office and only 3-5 kilometers from Pak Bara Pier. Koh Khao Yai is mostly limestone mountains with some beaches. The famous bay is "Na Pula", a beautiful and quiet beach. In addition, when the water recedes, you can pass through the rocks to see the beauty of "Prasat Hin Phan Yot", an unseen wonder created by nature from the erosion of rocks by rainwater until they become sharp and strangely shaped rocks that look like castles in fairy tales. The locals therefore call it Prasat Hin Phan Yot. It is also a geological area where fossils that are more than 480 million years old have been found. #TeamSouth
