The caves of sedona

The “Cave of Sedona” typically refers to the Birthing Cave, one of Sedona’s most photographed and spiritually significant red rock caves. It's located off Long Canyon Road. 🗺️ Directions to the Trailhead 1. From Sedona Town Center Drive about 15 minutes to Long Canyon Trailhead. 👉🏼 Google Maps: Search for "Long Canyon Trailhead". 👉🏼The trailhead is on Long Canyon Road, just past the Mescal Trailhead. 2. Parking Small, limited parking is available near the trailhead—arrive early! If full, you may need to park along the road (legally). 🥾 Hiking to the Cave 1. Trail Name; Long Canyon to the Birthing Cave (unofficial spur). 2. Round-Trip Distance; 2 miles (3.2 km) 3. Difficulty; Easy to moderate 4. Time; 1–1.5 hours total (including time at the cave) 🧭 Trail Guide 1. Start at the Long Canyon Trailhead. 2. Hike 0.6 miles, then watch for a well-worn path to the "left"(a V-shaped fork). 3. Follow this spur up a short incline toward the red cliff. 4. You'll reach the "Birthing Cave", a large, shallow cave with a wide, keyhole-like shape.
