Lombok is quite chill. The west coast has glassy waters all morning. Before leaving from Senggigi Beach Hotel, I was hesitant about which hotel to choose. After checking out a few alternatives, I realized I could have chosen any of them blindly. My options were Katamaran Resort, Jeeva Santai Villas, and Sudamala Resorts. If your budget is around IDR 2,500,000, I highly recommend The Secret Villas & Spa. The entire Lombok beach seems to have the same clarity you'd only expect from a boat trip in Thailand. The sunset in the evening is also stunning, with views of the volcano on Bali across the water. For now, I don't need to go anywhere else, and I'm not even thinking about an intense hike up Mount Rinjani.
