Taste the Best of Seoul at Myeongdong Kyoza!

Myeongdong Kyoza is one of the Michelin Bib Gourmard restaurants that you have to visit in Seoul! The resturant is known for its steamed mandu (dumplings) and Kalguksu (Korean knife-cut noodle soup). It's a popular spot, and the lines can get long. Knowing this, we arrived ten minutes before opening and found people already queuing up. Once inside, we were asked to order from a machine. The menu only has four items (with one item unavailable), making our selection extremely easy. In fact we didn't even think about what to eat, we just ordered the 3 dishes available. Myeongdong Kyoza is particularly famous for its dumplings, which have thin and chewy skins filled with fresh pork, chives, and sesame oil. The secret to good dumplings is in its skin. It has to be thin but not tear easily and soft enough to retain its chewy Q texture. We highly recommend trying these dumplings at least once in your life. The Kalguksu is another must-try dish at Myeongdong Kyoza. This piping hot dumpling noodle soup with minced meat and vegetables is perfect for cold days. The broth is thick and flavourful, and the handmade noodles are smooth and soft, making for a simple yet delectable dish. Leaving the best for the last, the Bibimguksu, a cold buckwheat noodle dish tossed in sweet and spicy Gochujang sauce, is exceptional. It's refreshing and tasty, with a bit of a kick that will leave your mouth feeling tingling! Even if you're not usually a fan of spicy food, this dish is definitely worth a try. For someone who eats Mala without 'la', I enjoyed this dish the most! Overall, we highly recommend visiting Myeongdong Kyoza. Keep in mind that the prices are reasonable, with the dumplings costing 11,000 won, the Kalguksu at 8,000 won, and the Bibimguksu at 8,000 won.
