Luxury Stay at Park Hyatt Seoul with Deluxe City View Room

I visited Park Hyatt Seoul and arrived around 3:20 PM, with three groups ahead of me waiting to check in. While I had been here about four times for afternoon tea, this was my first time staying overnight. After waiting for about 10 minutes, it was my turn to check in. The staff confirmed my reservation and informed me that I could upgrade from a standard room facing the Tancheon River to a more spacious Deluxe City View room facing COEX. The first room assigned to me was 506. After taking a moment to settle, I asked if a higher floor was available. The staff checked and said there were no rooms ready at the moment, but one might be available after cleaning in about three hours. Since I had already reserved afternoon tea at 3:30 PM and dinner at The Timber House at 6 PM, I didn’t mind a late check-in. I opted for a guaranteed higher-floor room and decided to wait. The Lounge, which serves afternoon tea, is conveniently located on the same floor as the reception, 24F. I started enjoying my afternoon tea right away. It’s great that they offer single-person afternoon tea. As I was finishing my tea, it was around 5:30 PM, and the reception area had quieted down with no customers waiting to check in. At that moment, I was informed that cleaning was complete for room 1408, and it was assigned to me. After finishing my tea, I headed to my room. To access the guest rooms, you need to first go up to floors 23–24 and then transfer elevators. The Deluxe City View room is spacious at 52 square meters. The wardrobe has an interesting double-door design, and the bathroom features a view bath. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer an impressive sense of openness. The COEX building cluster and its colorful multi-vision screens create a stunning urban backdrop. The city view is so perfect that it exudes an undeniable aura. Despite ongoing road construction at the COEX intersection, the view remains unspoiled. The construction continues into the night, causing some noise, but it’s not overly disruptive. For dinner, I visited The Timber House, a jazz bar with a Japanese-style ambiance, and had a fantastic time. Back in my room, I enjoyed dessert and a drink at the large round table while admiring the dazzling city nightscape. After watching a late-night movie at the nearby Megabox COEX, I walked back to the hotel. Note that Samsung Station has designated open exits, so you may need to take a slight detour and cross the pedestrian walkway to reach the hotel. The bathroom is very spacious, but you need to lower the blinds for privacy, as it’s visible from outside. This might explain why people post swimsuit photos on social media from this spot. The next morning, breakfast was served at Cornerstone, an Italian restaurant located on the 2F of the hotel. The buffet here is unique, offering self-serve options as well as dishes like egg dishes and French toast that can be ordered and brought to your table. Drinks, coffee, and tea are also ordered directly at the table. The setup is quite convenient, and the variety of made-to-order dishes adds a fun touch. While there’s a wide selection of baked goods and fruits, none were particularly enticing. The dessert options were also somewhat underwhelming. I made the most of my stay by experiencing all three dining venues at Park Hyatt Seoul and enjoying the accommodation. Watching people head off to work as I leisurely lingered, I soon had to return to reality myself. 🤣 Thank you!
