Statue of Yi Sun-sin at Gwanghwamun Square

Gwanghwamun Square is located in the heart of Seoul on Sejong Street. It has historical significance as it has been the center of Seoul for 600 years. It is a place of relaxation and in this area there is a monument to Admiral Yi Sun-Shin, the general who defeated the Japanese army with a turtle ship (Kobukseon), commemorating his great heroism.
