Seville Landmark: Metropol Parasol

📍Metropol Parasol This structure was designed by German architect Jürgen Mayer in 2011. Due to its appearance resembling a massive wooden structure, it earned the nickname "Las Setas" (The Mushrooms). It really does look like mushrooms... haha Standing at approximately 26 meters tall and spanning 150 meters wide, it is one of the largest wooden structures in the world. Architecturally, it is highly experimental, but it sparked some controversy among locals. However, it has now become a new landmark of Seville.
