Andalucia Tour ~ Seville (Region) The Virgen del Valle Chapel is dedicated to the city's patron saint. The site where it stands has been used as a place of worship since the Visigothic period. Two capitals and an interesting sarcophagus have been preserved from that time. During the Muslim period, it was the site of the Éciha Mosque. The neo-Mudéjar church was built after the Christian conquest in 1240, when the decorative plaster arches were preserved. The main altarpiece was brought from the Concepción de los Mercedarios Monastery and dates from the 18th century and is dedicated to Our Lady of Socorro. #2024TravelReview #SpainTravel #Andalucia
