Shanghai Yuyuan Folk Art Lantern Festival creates a spectacle of the deep sea and the River Map through four grand entrances and five major scenes, presenting a wonderland where the zodiac dragon intertwines with marine flora and fauna. The four grand entrances of Yuyuan, guarded by divine dragons and warriors, serve as a prologue to lead visitors through the seabed into a fantastical fairyland. At the central square, a giant yellow dragon rises into the sky in a 'dragon leaping over the sea' pose, embracing a blue sphere lifted by the waves, protecting the growth of all beings.
