Shanghai Hilights

Just back from a whirlwind trip to Shanghi, China, and I had to share two of my absolute favorite experiences! Shanghai is a vibrant city with something for everyone, but these two spots really stood out. Shopping Extravaganza: Nanjing Lu is a shopper's paradise! This massive pedestrian street is a sensory overload in the best way possible. From high-end designer stores to local shops brimming with unique souvenirs and delicious street food stalls, you could easily spend days exploring everything Nanjing Lu has to offer. Don't be afraid to bargain for the best deals and soak up the lively atmosphere. This is a great place to find that perfect gift or treat yourself to something special. Soaring Above the City: The Shanghai Tower is a must-see for any visitor. This architectural marvel pierces the sky and offers breathtaking panoramic views of Shanghai. From the observation deck, you can see the entire city sprawl out before you, with the Huangpu River snaking through the heart of it all. There's even a glass-bottomed section if you're feeling adventurous! Tip: If possible, try to visit on a clear day for the most stunning views. Bonus Tip: If you're looking for a delicious and affordable meal after all that shopping, grab some juicy soup dumplings (xiao long bao) from a local vendor! They're a Shanghai specialty and absolutely divine. Shanghai has so much more to offer, but Nanjing Lu and the Shanghai Tower were definitely highlights of my trip.
