Yuyuan Old Street – Walk in the rain, sip hot tea, and see the city

#TravelChina ⸻ The day I went to Yuyuan Old Street, I must say that the weather was not very friendly… It was drizzling and so cold that I had to hug myself tightly. Even though I had prepared a raincoat, I was still freezing. So I didn’t hesitate and sipped a cup of hot tea before continuing my walk. I felt that tea is my true friend on a day when the weather is unbearable. There are so many shops on this walking street. I walked around and around some alleys without realizing it. I stopped to try many things, but the most memorable one was the giant xiaolongbao, which they say you have to try… But to be honest, the taste was just so-so. I secretly liked the small ones more because there was less dough and the soup was just the right size, easy to eat and didn’t need to use a lot of techniques. Even though it was raining, the atmosphere at night was great. The lights were beautiful when turned on. The old buildings in the classic Chinese style were really magical. Their architecture was beautiful. It was pleasing to the eye and the photos were beautiful from every angle. This is another place that I felt that I had to walk around to really get into it because it had its own unique charm.
