Shanghai, a city where old and new coexist

#ShanghaiTravel A city where the old and the new coexist Shanghai Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai Tower, Oriental Pearl Tower, Wukang Building Travel Review Shanghai, where I first set foot, was more splendid than I expected, and more tranquil than I expected. 1. Yuyuan Garden I never knew there was such a quiet space in the middle of a busy city. Yuyuan was not just a simple garden, but a small world where the aesthetics of ancient China were alive. A bridge along the waterway, a roof that curves, and carps leisurely swimming in a small pond. The traditional Chinese music heard from all directions made me feel like I had traveled through time. A bite of hot xiaolongbao sold in a market alley was as unforgettable as the scenery. 2. Shanghai Tower It was the tallest building I have ever climbed. Shanghai, seen from the 119th floor observatory, looked like a futuristic city full of light. The scene of the city lights spreading out across the gray sky in the foggy evening was not enough to be captured in a photo, and was a moment that could only be remembered when seen with one's own eyes. 3. Oriental Pearl Tower The tower that I had only seen in photos as a child. When I saw it in person, it was bigger and more splendid than I had imagined. The bead-shaped observatory was unique, and at night, the lights changed into colorful colors, and I realized why it was called Shanghai's landmark. I also recommend walking along the riverside promenade around the Oriental Pearl Tower. It's busy, but the beautiful cityscape continues to unfold. 4. Wukan Building (Infinite Loop Building) A hot place that I saw on Instagram and saved. When I went there in person, it exceeded my expectations. The curved lines along the exterior walls of the building, the antique bricks, and the old-fashioned windows. Especially at sunset, when the warm sunlight falls on the buildings, it really creates a movie-like scene. It was a great place to take pictures, and there were many pretty cafes nearby, so it was perfect for taking a break. ⸻ Shanghai has a sparkling future, a long history, and emotions in between.
