Fuxi Village, Shaoyang, Hunan

Fuxi Village, Changle Township, Shaoyang County, Hunan, was originally named Fuxi Village. It was named after a small stream that meanders for more than 20 km into the village. From above, the stream looks like a Taiji Bagua diagram, hence the name Fuxi, which was later simplified to Fuxi Village. Here, three streams converge (Nanshui, Huajiang, and Fuxi River), and the Nuwa Mountain stretches across the land. The ancient trees are lush, and the mist rises suddenly, making it a place of natural beauty. After the rain, the morning mist lingers, and the village, fields, and mountains are like a poetic and picturesque fairyland. Fuxi Village is not only blessed with beautiful natural scenery but also rich in historical and cultural resources, such as the 700-year-old Fuxi Bridge, which is still strong and elegant. The words "Tian Chang Di Jiu" (meaning "forever") carved on both sides of the bridge are still clear and powerful. In addition, Fuxi Village also has the remains of an ancient post station, a temporary command post of Cheng Qian's troops, and several kilometers of trench ruins, all of which carry a heavy legend. With its unique natural landscape and cultural history, Fuxi Village has become a beautiful village worth visiting.
