Shennongjia in early August is beautiful and cool, but please think twice before coming

I have always wanted to find a scenic and cool place to take a short break for a few days. My friend recommended Shennongjia. I made a simple plan and found it very good. First of all, it is very close, and can be reached by high-speed rail in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai free shipping areas; In fact, five days in total are enough, so there is no need to take too much leave; finally, the air quality is good and the temperature is cool. After deciding on the travel destination, I quickly checked the guide and booked a five-day trip: Day 1: High-speed rail arrives at Hankou Station, visit the Provincial Museum in the afternoon, and stay at Hankou Railway Station Atour Hotel at night; Day 2: Take the high-speed train from Hankou to Badong Station and arrive at 10:17. After a short rest at Vienna Hotel in Pingqian Ancient Town at noon, visit Dajiu Lake Scenic Area in the afternoon: Day 3: Visit Shennongjia Scenic Area and stay at Shennongjia Kangdi Junlan Hotel in Muyu Town at night; Day 4: Visit the Tianshengqiao Scenic Area and return to Hankou from Xingshan Station; Day 5: Eat and drink in Wuhan in the morning, and return home in the afternoon; The trip is coming to an end. I would like to talk about my feelings about this trip and give a tip to friends who are going there: 1. About hotels: All three are very good 🏨Hankou Atour is right next to the train station. You can get to the hotel quickly along the underground passage without having to walk to the road after exiting the south exit of the train station. It is very friendly for people who need to transfer at Hankou Train Station; 🏨Pingqian Ancient Town Vienna Hotel is probably the closest hotel to Dajiu Lake. You can walk to the scenic spot, which is very convenient; but the price in the peak season is doubled too much 🏨 Shennongjia Kangdi Junlan Hotel is the best hotel in Muyu Town. The rooms are clean, large and comfortable. 2. About scenic spots: Because we were traveling with the elderly, we could not consider too many hiking and rock climbing activities, and some scenic spots in Shennongjia were greatly affected by the weather. For example, Shennong Valley was clearly sunny these days, but it was really white in the Shennong Valley, and you couldn't see the scenery below at all. I personally recommend the following attractions based on scenery, walking comfort and traffic: ⭐ Dajiu Lake, the scenery is very beautiful. Even though we entered the park at 2 or 3 o'clock in the afternoon under the scorching sun, it was not particularly hot along the lakeside plank road. It was beautiful to walk from Lake No. 3 to Lake No. 6 (see picture 123); ⭐ Taiziya, the first scenic spot in Shennongjia that you pass by on the way from Dajiu Lake to Muyu Town, has a feeling of primitive forest. There are many century-old fir trees in it, and most of them are covered with lichen (see Figure 8). This scenic spot is also the one that I regret the most, because it was the first scenic spot to visit that morning, and my mother didn’t bring a thick coat, so I just walked around it briefly and came out. Next time I have the chance, I will definitely visit it thoroughly... ⭐Tiansheng Bridge, this is the most beautiful place recommended by locals, with many waterfalls and streams Although Shennongjia is beautiful, I still don't recommend you to go there in early August. There are too many people. We started from Badong in the opposite direction and luckily avoided it. On Day 3, we were in Shennongjia, but on Day 4, we encountered a huge traffic jam at Tiansheng Bridge. We left home at 7:00 in the morning and entered Tiansheng Bridge at 9:30. This kind of special forces + long queues immediately discouraged me, who is a Buddhist... P.S. I heard from local drivers that the traffic jam is expected to be like this before 8/10...
