Free Shenzhen Historic Site--Gankeng Ancient Town

Ganhang Ancient Town is known as one of the top 10 Hakka villages in Shenzhen. It's really convenient to come here after the MTR is opened. It's about a 10-minute walk from Gan Hang Station on Line 10, and it's free to enter. It's not very big inside, I walked about 3 hours including rest and food. Arrive in the afternoon and can have dinner before leaving. There are checkpoints all around, lots and lots of people but not too crowded. The prices of food and drinks inside are almost the same as in the city. There are Hanfu rentals here. Visitors can dress up in ancient costumes to take photos and walk around this ancient town. It's quite interesting. Lots of snacks, and coconut good value for money, drink very full. There are several hotels in town that are affordable to consider a more relaxed overnight visit.
