Shenzhen's Nanshan area has a long and rich history and is considered the cultural root of Shenzhen. Without visiting the Nanshan Museum, one might not know that it has three permanent exhibition halls, each telling the story of Nanshan through the themes of 'Ancient Nanshan,' 'Modern Nanshan,' and 'Nanshan's Reform and Opening-Up History.' Besides these permanent exhibitions, there are also special exhibitions that change from time to time. During this visit, we encountered the Eurasian Silk Culture Exhibition, the Qing Dynasty Official Kiln Porcelain Exhibition, and the Contemporary Chaozhou Hand-Pulled Clay Pottery Exhibition, all of which are worth a detailed look and appreciation. The guides' explanations are also very thorough. The museum also has a souvenir shop 🛍 and a café ☕️.
