Guanlan Ocean World in Shenzhen is more like a mixed bag of attractions rather than just an 'Ocean World.' From underwater tunnels for fish viewing to mermaid performances, outdoor ranches, and an amusement park at the exit, it is divided into three main attractions: 🏖️ Environment/Facilities: 1. Fish Viewing 🧜🏻♀️ A visit to Ocean World is incomplete without fish viewing! There are various species to see, including sharks before you even enter. Once inside, you can see everything from tropical fish to electric eels. Ocean World also features two performances: a sea lion show and a mermaid show, where a man and a woman dance underwater to music and narration, which is very touching! However, on weekdays, there are only three to four shows, so be sure to check the schedule in advance! 2. Land Animals 🫎 After leaving the Ocean World area, you will find deer, horses, meerkats, and various birds. If you want to feed the animals, tongs are provided for safety. Besides watching and feeding different animals, you can also wait for the circus performance, which includes clowns, various bird performances, and even pig diving. Both adults and children can enjoy the show! 3. Amusement Park 🎮 Ready to leave? Before heading upstairs to the exit, you will pass through a misty tropical rainforest corridor, which is great for photos. There are also reptiles like lizards and turtles to see, as well as trampolines, restaurants, an entire arcade, and a two-story slide! My two sisters rode the motorcycles and slid down the slide, which ends at the souvenir shop where you can buy a little something you like before heading outside to see the handicrafts! Outside the Exit 🎨 Right outside the exit is a handicraft workshop where you can do some DIY crafts, painting, pottery, and more. There is also a great Western restaurant 🍕 near the exit. Turn right, and you will see it. I especially recommend the pumpkin cheese risotto, which is rich in cheese flavor, and the pizza crust is dry and crispy. All the crusts are kneaded and baked in the restaurant, ensuring freshness!
