After planning for a long time to bring the kids to check in at InterContinental Shenzhen Dameisha Resort, the night before departure I checked the weather forecast and my heart sank halfway—it was going to be several days of 🌧️ light rain/cloudy weather! Just entering the lobby, I was amazed—the design is on point! Inspired by the "Mountain and Sea Tranquility," the lobby offers a 270-degree panoramic sea view with unbeatable sightlines! The streamlined design, sophisticated color scheme, and ubiquitous sea elements instantly switch you into vacation mode. Even cloudy days can’t block this sense of openness and refinement. · The glass dome in the main building brings daylight into the lobby, casting a soft light filter over the space on cloudy days, and turning into a light and shadow theater on sunny days. The entire hotel feels like a luxury yacht⛵ docked by the sea. The hotel is just 20 meters from the sea, with the pool right outside the door, connecting to the beach, which in turn connects to the ocean. 🛏️ Recommended Room Type If you’re bringing kids, I recommend the "Dive into the Deep Sea" themed one-bedroom sea view family suite. Entering the room feels like diving into a colorful deep-sea world, filled with ocean-themed animals. The room has one king bed and a fishing boat-shaped bunk bed with a private slide that the kids absolutely love! The bathroom is thoughtfully equipped with a bath booster seat, children’s bathrobes, and slippers, plus a separate shower and bathtub. Step out onto the balcony and you’ll see the endless sea. The sand is quite fine, and the kids couldn’t stop digging. You can also enjoy various water activities. The highlight is the "Sapphire" outdoor pool with an infinity design—perfect for stunning photos! The indoor heated pool at 27°C is a lifesaver on cloudy or rainy days! The water temperature is comfortable and doesn’t affect water fun at all! The kids don’t want to leave! It’s truly a lifesaver on cloudy or rainy days! The hotel organizes different parent-child activities daily, such as crafts, baking, and mini-classes, all free to join. 3⃣️ Seaside Boardwalk Stroll If it’s light rain or a cool cloudy day, take a walk along the seaside boardwalk next to the hotel, feel the sea breeze, and enjoy the unique "ink wash painting" style ocean views—it’s very relaxing. The hotel’s internal landscaping is also excellent, making for great strolls. This trip perfectly illustrated what it means to have a "good vacation mood that can chase away the clouds!" The weather forecast said rain? Don’t panic!
