Lunch is particularly good value, and the "Joushu Set Meal" is available for under 2,000 yen. One portion contains 80g of Joshu beef and 80g of pork loin, totaling 160g. It comes with salad, pickles, a small dish of the day, rice, and miso soup, so you'll be very satisfied. The Joshu beef is rubbed with a soy sauce-based sauce, and the pork loin with a miso-based sauce. The most popular noodle dish is the kalbi ramen. The large, chunky kalbi is very soft and melts in your mouth. The bright red soup looks spicy, but it's not as spicy as it looks, and has a lingering taste. The final course of a yakiniku meal is bibimbap or cold noodles, but in Gunma, many people order Chinese noodles or ramen as a final course.
