The "Fairy Waterfall" Treasure - Shenpu Gorge

A forgotten hiking secret! Hidden is the "Fairy Waterfall", which has been recommended by the hiking secret spot around Chengdu. It's truly a treasure, not inferior to Qingcheng Mountain! Very niche, if it weren't for a local friend telling me, I would have no idea at all. The cascading waterfall is really spectacular. Throughout the hiking journey, you can feel the cool breeze generated by the falling waterfall, so comfortable! I can't imagine how joyful it would be to hike here in the summer!!! 🚗How to get there Navigation: Shenpu Gorge Self-driving: It only takes about 2 hours to reach from downtown Chengdu Parking: There are parking lots at both the front and back mountain gates 🔴Travel tips: 1️⃣Navigate to the front mountain gate of Shenpu Gorge by car, park, and then hike upwards for 1-2 hours. Along the way, you are surrounded by waterfalls and green trees, with fresh and pleasant air. You can stop to take photos and rest while hiking. 2️⃣After reaching Jiangjunping, there is a free azalea flower exhibition where you can take photos. From the top of the mountain, it looks like a heart shape, which is very artistic. 3️⃣At Jiangjunping, you can also check in at attractions like the glass bridge, glass slide, and jungle crossing. These activities require a fee to experience, and you can choose to play according to personal preference. 4️⃣Hiking upwards from Jiangjunping, you will pass through a wooden plank path and a small pine forest. A ten-minute hike will take you to a red maple forest, which is very photogenic. Continue upwards for about 5.6km to reach the peak of Tianyu, where you can admire the high mountain azaleas and view the sea of clouds. Along the way, you can pick wild bamboo shoots. The hike takes about 5-6 hours. It is worth noting that the hike to the top to see the high mountain azaleas is quite long and tiring. Those who are physically fit and enjoy climbing can hike up to see it, but those who are not physically able should choose a leisurely route to return down the mountain. 5️⃣There are some moss and slippery roads during the hike, so it is recommended to wear comfortable anti-slip shoes and bring a walking stick. 6️⃣The path is not exposed to the sun, surrounded by green trees, and there is a cool breeze blowing from time to time, which is very refreshing. 7️⃣There is food available at the entrance of the scenic area, which is not expensive. You can also bring your own meals. Hot water is provided for free.
